Detroit Auto Show 2007

Drive Design Desire

Global automakers are beginning to show their cards, confirming plans for worldwide introductions of several significant production models and innovative concept cars at » NAIAS 2007 in January.

Each year, » NAIAS targets at least 50 introductions, and the 2007 show is on track for at least that many, with some automakers still keeping their plans secret. More importantly, vehicles planned for unveiling at the January show are extremely significant ones. Some are new bread- and-butter models for the automakers. Others are critical re-makes of already successful models on the market. Still more hint at automakers' future directions for design and technology.

Centennial

Beginning in January 2007, the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA) and the » North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) will celebrate the centennial of their successful association in hosting one of the world’s premier automotive showcases.

Although the first auto show in Detroit was held in 1907, the 2007 show, renamed North American International Auto Show in 1989, will be our 19th international show.

The » NAIAS is the only auto show in the United States to earn an annual distinguished sanction of the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles (OICA), the Paris-based alliance of automotive trade associations and manufacturers from around the world.
